Green Power Inside is a consortium of Green Web Hosting services that collaborate on marketing and educational initiatives in order to further consumer education about Green Web Hosting options.

The group has chosen to focus our efforts on creating a whitelist for businesses and consumers to direct their purchasing dollars, advertising dollars, and distribution opportunities to companies that demonstrate exceptional efforts to be environmentally responsible on the Internet.

When you consider that one web server not powered by a green energy source generates the same emissions pollution as burning 107 gallons of gas each year, we believe we can have a BIG impact on reducing the Internet's overall impact on the environment.

We feel that by highlighting and rewarding individuals and companies who make ethical environmental choices to lessen the impact of their websites and Internet applications, we can build greater interest among web hosting consumers as a whole.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to convert 1 million websites to green power (out of more than 40 million new websites created this year.) That's equal to about 2.5% of all new websites created this year.
